Drake recently dropped a bomb on his fans—100 gigabytes, to be exact. A treasure trove of unreleased music, behind-the-scenes footage, and other goodies was only the beginning. It is as if a digital time capsule has just been opened right into the world of this rapper.

The Canadian superstar uploaded over 100 gigabytes of content to a mystery website, 100gigs. He sent fans into a frenzy after posting a shot of it on his Instagram Story. This digital goldmine features three all-new tracks, “It’s Up” featuring Young Thug and 21 Savage, “Housekeeping Knows” featuring Latto, and “Blue Green Red.”

This was the unexpected move coming after months of relative silence silently by Drake, following the very publicized beef with Kendrick Lamar.

Hotline Bling: The Inside Story

One of the most interesting folders gives insight into how Drake crafted his 2016 ear-bender, “Hotline Bling.” The rapper himself details how the song got its name—after a passionate night that was memorable enough for him to save her number as “Hotline Bling.” There are also never-before-seen shots from the iconic music video, giving new meaning to Drake’s dance moves.

Backstage: Honestly, Nevermind and HER LOSS

The other folders are bound to get even deeper into the making of his 2022 album “Honestly, Nevermind.” We get to peep in on the studio sessions, seeing where all the raw energy and creativity were derived from in the mix for this album.

That includes his featured artist, 21 Savage, who is not left out in the behind-the-scenes of the collaboration “HER LOSS.” Here, fans can get a glimpse of all, starting from interviews to the making of music videos.

Mixed Reactions

The massive release has resulted in a wave of reactions from fans online. Some of them are really stoked to have some insight into Drake’s world, while others find the huge content amount a bit too much to handle.

Manisha Asher, a fan from London says, “It’s about time we got some of the old Drake back. He hasn’t released too much—just the right amount to give people a taste of what him coming back is going to sound like.”

On the other hand, however, some fans are second-guessing the move. One disgruntled fan was issuing a complaint on X/Twitter, saying, “Why ain’t nobody telling Drake his biggest problem is oversaturation?”

The Aftermath of the Drake-Kendrick Beef

Surprising drop of his own, this new release is coming hot off the heels of the heated spat with Kendrick Lamar. Thereupon, across a series of high-profile tracks, the two rap titans have traded insults, while accusations have wowed the music world. While most of it has been a bit toned down, no doubt this rivalry gave a lot more buildup to Drake’s latest release than usual.
