Xbox Game Pass to Drop Eight More Games in February 2025

The most recent news from Microsoft confirms that yet another set of games will be departing Xbox Game Pass towards the end of February 2025. Eight games are going to be dropped from the subscription service this time, some of which are fan favorites that gamers might want to finish before they’re gone.

Some of the games leaving include Yakuza 3 Remastered, Yakuza 4 Remastered, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, Maneater, Gris, Space Engineers, and Paw Patrol World. With their removal scheduled for February 28, subscribers have little time remaining to enjoy these titles.

Games Leaving Xbox Game Pass on February 28:

  • Yakuza 3 Remastered
  • Yakuza 4 Remastered
  • Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty
  • Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun
  • Maneater
  • Gris
  • Space Engineers
  • Paw Patrol World

For players who want to get through some of these games before they go, a few of them are relatively quick plays. Paw Patrol World and Gris, for example, both take approximately eight hours to complete, which makes them good options for anyone who wants to earn some last-minute Gamerscore. Indeed, Gris features several collectibles, and there are guides that players can use to make the process of completion easier.

Next up is Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, which is a fast-paced shooter with a completion time of about 8-10 hours. Although it has achievements based on its most challenging settings, an invincibility mode within the accessibility settings makes them far easier to achieve. Discovering all the secret items in each chapter can also be challenging, but guides can help players earn those achievements before the clock runs out.

For those who have not yet played Maneater, there is still an opportunity to immerse oneself in the open-world shark experience and unlock the complete 1,000 Gamerscore in roughly 12 hours. The game is full of collectibles that are spread out throughout various areas, so being attentive while exploring is important. There are many achievement guides available to assist with these challenges.

On the other hand, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty offers a far greater challenge. It takes approximately 50 hours of completion and features soulslike mechanics as well as an abundance of collectibles. If players feel like they’re up to the grind and they have some free time on their hands, this one is certainly worth playing while it is available in the Game Pass catalog.

For fans of Yakuza, this is going to particularly sting. Both Yakuza 3 Remastered and Yakuza 4 Remastered take close to 80-100 and 60-80 hours respectively to complete at 100 percent. Both the games also happen to have releases on Windows, so those subscribers with an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription can reap double the benefits in terms of achievements for some extra 1,000 Gamerscore. But considering just how much time is involved, completing them in time before they depart may well be a high ask.

Finally, Space Engineers presents an unfortunate dilemma for completionists since one of its achievements has been removed. If the “I’ve Got Present For You” achievement has not yet been unlocked, getting the complete base list 1,000G will no longer be achievable.

With these titles making their exit, players will be hoping for some strong additions in the next wave of Xbox Game Pass games. Until then, this serves as a final opportunity to experience these titles before they are gone from the subscription service. Whether you’re chasing achievements or just enjoying the gameplay, now is the time to jump in before the deadline.
