Paul Olanrewaju Oladunni has been awarded Travel Influencer of the Year at the Influencer Magazine Awards (E3) on October 25, 2026. As Chief Executive Officer of Space Media Technologies Limited and Space Tourism Society Africa, he connects tourism with space education and international collaboration. His work brings together practical travel services and initiatives that encourage African participation in the global space economy.
Known as “Mr. Space,” Oladunni is credited with creating Africa’s first space platform, an initiative that has nurtured global leaders in the sector. He also championed the concept for the continent’s biggest planetarium, now situated at Afe Babalola University. These efforts give his tourism work an educational dimension, linking public participation in space science with opportunities for international engagement.
His relationship with the National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies (NANTA) demonstrates that connection in practice. A strategic partnership secured in 2024 led to an international engagement trip to Ghana. In 2025, he led NANTA members to the Czech Republic Embassy in Abuja during the International Celebration of World Space Week to advance bilateral collaboration. In April 2026, NANTA contracted him to provide 10 buses to transport more than 200 members for its 50th Annual General Meeting in Ibadan. Through Space Tourism Society Africa, he also facilitated a one-week executive retreat in Ghana for top executives of AIICO Insurance from July 15 to 21, 2026.
Together, these activities underpin his recognition: Oladunni’s contribution to travel spans industry partnerships, transport provision, executive retreats and educational exchange. He is coordinating an educational visit for selected Nigerian students to the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency before the end of 2026, while looking ahead to a 2027 initiative intended to provide European internships for students from African countries. That planned initiative aims to combine international experience with pathways for students to return and contribute to Africa’s growth.
Congratulations to Paul Olanrewaju Oladunni on being named Travel Influencer of the Year at the Influencer Magazine Awards (E3).
