Ron is a talented wizard, though he is often overshadowed by Hermione’s brilliance. He is an excellent Quidditch player, and he is a member of the Gryffindor Quidditch team. He is also a talented chess player, and he helps Harry defeat the giant chess set in the Philosopher’s Stone.
