Mr. Paul Oladunni, an entrepreneur and space advocate who serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Space Media Technologies Limited and Space Tourism Society Africa. Widely known as “Mr. Space,” he is recognised for promoting space science, education, and tourism across Africa through initiatives that encourage public engagement and international collaboration. He is credited with establishing one of Africa’s pioneering space-focused platforms, helping to foster awareness of the space economy while connecting students, institutions, industry stakeholders, and policymakers to emerging opportunities in the sector.
Under his leadership, Space Tourism Society Africa has spearheaded partnerships with academic institutions, government bodies, and international organisations to advance Africa’s participation in the global space community. His initiatives have included advocating for the development of Africa’s largest planetarium at Afe Babalola University, organising international collaborations through the National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies (NANTA), facilitating executive and educational programmes across Africa, and promoting space diplomacy with organisations such as the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). Looking ahead, Oladunni is leading efforts to create international internship opportunities for African students, aiming to strengthen global exposure while encouraging skilled talent to contribute to the continent’s long-term scientific and technological development.
