Microsoft Outlook is currently facing a widespread outage, leaving users around the globe unable to access their email, contacts, and calendar services. The company confirmed the disruption through its official Microsoft 365 Status account on X (formerly Twitter), stating that it is actively investigating the issue and working on a fix.

Reports of the outage began flooding Downdetector, with users encountering a “Something went wrong” error message when attempting to load Outlook. Microsoft has also acknowledged the issue on its Service Health dashboard, where it noted that users are unable to connect to their mailboxes through any method—web, desktop, or mobile.

While Outlook is currently down, other Microsoft 365 services such as OneDrive, Copilot, and Whiteboard appear to be functioning normally.

Users from various countries have taken to X to express their frustration, with many citing disruptions to their work and personal communication. Earlier today, Microsoft Teams also experienced a brief outage, though that issue was resolved within hours.

The Outlook outage began around 10:20 PM UTC (3:50 AM IST) and has persisted for several hours. Although Microsoft claims to have deployed a fix, many users continue to report problems accessing the service.

This incident follows a similar outage last year that impacted multiple Microsoft 365 services, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, but was resolved in under four hours. With nearly 11 hours of ongoing issues, this appears to be one of the most prolonged Outlook outages in recent memory.
