Blackpink’s Powerful Members Prepare to Take the Stage on Another Global Tour

Later this year, Blackpink’s powerful members will take their talents on another global tour. While the official dates and locations have not been announced, it is not in question that the group will captivate large crowds around the world soon.

Before they take the stage to perform this highly anticipated tour, three of the members are making waves individually. In this respect, Jennie is preparing to release her debut solo project, Ruby, which is expected in the coming weeks. The latest single from this collection, titled Love Hangover, includes a feature with Dominic Fike and has already generated a lot of buzz in the United Kingdom as a commercial success.

This high-energy song has charted a big debut on three different U.K. charts, reaching a spot among the top 10 on two of them and indicating the warm reception from the public who have eagerly bought and streamed the song to push it to hit status.

The feature debuts at No. 10 on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads charts. It is the third-highest debuting single on these charts, behind James Marriott’s I Don’t Want to Live Like This and Lady Gaga’s Abracadabra, both of which also chart impressive spots in the first week.

With Love Hangover, Jennie charts her third top 10 single as a solo artist on these two charts. Her other charting successes include You & Me, which reached No. 1, and Mantra, the number one single from Ruby, which reached No. 3 in October 2024.

When her success with Blackpink is added, Jennie’s overall total of top 10 hits gets a slight boost. The group as a whole has only had one top 10 on the overall singles sales list, with Pink Venom reaching No. 7. On the Official Singles Downloads list, the same single reached the No. 5 mark. In addition, in 2020, How You Like That gave Blackpink its first top 10 appearance in the U.K., at No. 10.

For Dominic Fike, too, Love Hangover is a milestone. The song successfully doubles his overall number of top 10 appearances on the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads lists. Five years earlier, his lead single Three Nights reached as high as No. 6 on those lists.

Aside from sales-based appearances, Love Hangover successfully appeared on the main U.K. songs list, which takes into account overall consumption of tracks across platforms and genres. On this more comprehensive ranking, Jennie and Fike debut at No. 64. For Jennie, this is her fourth solo appearance, and for Fike, it is his sixth on the list.

As Jennie cruises up steam ahead of her Ruby release and Blackpink’s upcoming tour, it is clear that she is building a big solo career as well as being a key part of one of the world’s leading girl groups. With her new single, she solidifies her ability of dominating the charts, both as a member of Blackpink and as a solo artist, thereby paving the way for even greater things in the near future.
