Rebel Wilson and her longtime partner, Ramona Agruma, have allegedly married in a quiet ceremony held in a beautiful setting on the picturesque Italian island of Sardinia. The couple started dating in 2021. For one of the most emotional reasons for choosing such a beautiful destination to get married, it marked the location of their first holiday together.
Wilson is an actress known for her work in the film Pitch Perfect, and Agruma is a fashion designer. The two had initially planned a little-intimate beach wedding in 2025 but apparently moved the date forward and celebrated much earlier than many of their friends. It was reportedly held privately, where close friends and family came together and acknowledged and celebrated the union of the couples involved. Thereby, it gave way to honoring the desires of the couples regarding having a relatively low-key affair.
They made their relationship public for the first time when Wilson posted a very sweet selfie of both on Instagram in May 2022. She captioned the photo, “I thought I was looking for a Disney Prince… but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess #loveislove.” Fans quickly fell in love and cemented their status as one of Hollywood’s favorite couples.
Wilson and Agruma began dating in 2021 when they were connected through a mutual friend. In an interview, Wilson described the connection as “old-school” and romantic: First, they started talking over the phone before meeting. She relates that by Valentine’s Day 2023, they had grown closer and she even got engaged. “It was literally when we thought it was all over,” Emma says. The proposal was described in Wilson’s memoir, Rebel Rising. As for the book, Wilson details how she planned the surprise, “Ramona sees the pastel rose petals all over the ground and the roses in vases,” she says, then explains how she got down on one knee and proposed to Agruma, saying, “So in this cliché way, on this cliché day, Ramona Agruma, will you marry me?
Agruma, sobbing, nodded to yes, and it was certainly the moment to be remembered for both of them. To this day, the two have added another child to their family they are able to love and be loved back through; she has given birth to a daughter named Royce Lillian Elizabeth born in November 2022. According to her, the conception of Royce came through surrogacy; an idea that had crossed Wilson’s mind after she had the decision to freeze her eggs when she turned 40. Talking to Today, “I was lucky to get an embryo from the process because of my age and because I have polycystic ovary syndrome,” said Wilson. According to her, though she was ready on all aspects to host the baby, using a surrogate would ensure that success was guaranteed.
Since the moment they became parents, both Wilson and Agruma talk about how this experience has transformed them. In an interview with Australia’s The Morning Show, Wilson reflected: “It’s like you start thinking about someone else instead of yourself, priorities change.”. When you are sitting around, thinking, “Aww, I wish I could go get a massage” or something, instead you’re like, “No, I just want to spend time with her, be at home.” Their little one has become the whole center of their lives-brings them closer as they try to navigate parenthood.
