Till now there isn’t an option in instagram to view the like counts on a private mode . Instagram now has a feature that lets the users to hide the like counts in their feeds ! This feature was tested by instagram last year July . Now the company has implemented the feature across the globe .
Many users show off themselves as trending using like counts . But others never like to show their likes as they may get least . The user can get this feature in advanced settings option. Inorder to enable this feature , tap on the three dots at right corner of your post and select hide like option .They can also use this option before sharing the post on while going on a live. The aim of this feature is to see whether this might depressurize the user’s experience on instagram . It hides the count to others but people can still like your posts or video .
Facebook said , ” What we heard from people and experts was that not seeing like counts was beneficial for some and annoying to others, particularly because people use like counts to get a sense of what’s trending or popular, so we’re giving you the choice,”. Users must make sure that they are using latest version of the app to avail these features .
