It’s been way too long since we saw Steve Rogers’ iconic shield in action. Five years after handing it off to his trusty wingman, Sam Wilson, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is finally giving us another shot of Captain America goodness. And let me tell you, it looks epic!
Anthony Mackie is fully stepping into the Captain America role, and he’s got a new boss – the legendary Harrison Ford as Thunderbolt Ross. Their dynamic is the heart of the upcoming Captain America: Brave New World.
This feels like a throwback to the gritty, political thrillers of The Winter Soldier and Civil War. Sam’s up against Ford’s Ross, who wants to turn Captain America into a military pawn. But Sam’s not having it. He’s got his own ideas about what the shield stands for. And when Isaiah Bradley, the supersoldier from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, enters the scene, things really heat up.
Expect explosions, action, and a military funeral. Plus, we get our first look at Giancarlo Esposito as the mysterious villain. No one knows who he’s playing yet, but the internet’s ablaze with theories. And with a Deadpool movie on the horizon, the possibilities are endless!
Joining the adventure are Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres and newcomer Shira Haas as Sabra, who seems to be a government agent with secrets. Oh, and did we mention the Red Hulk? Yep, Harrison Ford might be trading in his presidential suit for some gamma-powered rage. We can’t wait to see that!
Captain America: Brave New World hits theaters on February 14, 2025. Until then, let the speculation and excitement continue!
