Microsoft has regained its position as the world’s most valuable company, overtaking Nvidia after the AI chip giant’s shares fell by more than 3.5% on Thursday. Nvidia had briefly held the top spot from Tuesday, with a market valuation of $3.34 trillion. Nvidia’s ascent has been driven by its dominance in AI chips, which are considered the “new gold or oil in the tech sector” due to their critical role in powering AI technologies. This rise has positioned Nvidia, alongside Microsoft and Apple, in a tight race to be the world’s most valuable company, with each firm boasting a market value exceeding $3 trillion.

The competition among these tech giants is expected to remain intense. According to a note from Wedbush Securities, “We believe over the next year the race to $4 trillion market cap in tech will be front and centre between Nvidia, Apple, and Microsoft.”

Nvidia is getting boost from AI industry as the requirement is quite high there, and Microsoft is long term player how keeps innovating and trying to lead the industry, our money is on Nvidia to win this battle even with strong competitor like AMD.
