Lucy Chow has been awarded Investor of the Year at the Influencer Magazine Awards (E3) on October 25, 2026. Known as one of the UAE’s “OG” investors, she combines investment in emerging technologies with support for founders and a commitment to building the country’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Over the past decade, she has backed early-stage, impact-driven companies and worked closely with founders, funds, and institutions navigating disruption across sectors.
Her work connects capital with broader participation in entrepreneurship. As Advisor to 2022FemaleAngels and Representative of the World Business Angels Investment Forum, Chow focuses on increasing funding for entrepreneurs and advancing gender equity in MENA’s investment ecosystem. This combination of company backing, founder support, and work towards more inclusive investment gives substance to her recognition as Investor of the Year.
Chow’s investment focus also extends to how emerging technologies and interactive platforms, particularly gaming and esports, influence education, careers, and economic participation. Her book, “Changing The Game”, explores the importance of digital technologies and their relevance to the future of work. Alongside her advocacy and capacity-building work in digital transformation, she advises boards, corporates, and global forums on the convergence of technology, culture, and governance—connecting her investment interests with the preparation businesses and institutions need to navigate change responsibly.
Her contribution to education reflects that same focus on preparation: as a Board Trustee of The American School of Dubai, she was instrumental in overseeing the development and build of its new Center for Design and Innovation for Public Purpose.
