The gorgeous and talented American actress, Brooke Walter, created a sensation online when the trailer dropped for her new espionage short film ‘Certainly Unpleasant’.
In the thrilling and exciting trailer, which has garnered thousands of views and interactions on the social media platform Instagram, Walter plays a former MI6 agent who gets dragged back into a world which she thought she had left behind.
Walter has said of her role ‘’I don’t want to give too much away. But I can say that I play a former MI6 agent who is trying to leave that life behind, and seek out a new life. However, she gets dragged back in by an ex colleague and flame. Are they going to rekindle their love? Is she going to accept a new mission? Well I can’t give away those answers. You’ll just have to wait until you see the film’’
The script was written by The Crown and Indiana Jones actor Mohammed Kamel.
Brooke added. ‘’I’m a huge fan of Mohammed and his work. Not only is he a great actor, he’s also such a talented writer. When I read the script, I was blown away and told Mohammed that I would love to do the part. I’m so glad I got the chance to work with him. We had a fantastic time shooting on set and I also have to give a huge thank you to the director and cinematographer Jack Judd, who was brilliant. As well as a thank you to Rose PR for their help and involvement.’’
Walter went on to say, ‘’Mohammed and I not only had a great chemistry on set, but we also had the opportunity to bond over a shared passion for writing, acting and filmmaking. I’m a writer as well myself and have written some spec scripts which I hope to get produced. Working with someone like Mohammed Kamel, who has that drive, that get up and go attitude and that positivity, definitely rubbed off on me and gave me a lot of inspiration.’’
Brooke’s previous credits include starring alongside Hollywood legend Willem Dafoe in Hulu’s ‘The Man in My Basement’ and Netflix’s ‘Supermodel’. She is happily settled in London at the moment and is looking forward to the acting projects she has coming up in 2025 and also to writing more of her own material.
Walter’s social media following is huge, where she has fronted campaigns for the likes of Benefits Cosmetics and even Vogue, as well as chronicled her red carpet appearances such as her guest appearance at the Clifford Premiere. But it’s not all glitz and glamour. Brooke is keen to use her platform to bring attention to charitable and good causes. One of the charities she supports is called ‘’SENSE’’. A charity focused on disability rights. It was founded by her friend Samantha Renke, the renowned actress and activist.
