Liverpool’s First Signing Under Arne Slot – Giorgi Mamardashvili

Liverpool have pulled off a statement of intent to strengthen their team under the gaffership of the incoming manager, Arne Slot. The Reds have agreed to a €35 million, £30 million fee for Georgian international goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.

Anyway, Mamardashvili awaits a medical to make his Valencia departure final. The Georgian now 23-years-old, will go for the remainder on loan back to Valencia this season, but this move will see him keep on his development before joining the Anfield occupiers on a permanent basis.

The signing of Mamardashvili could give a start to Liverpool’s new era. Arne Slot, famous for the attacking brand of football he imposes along with his tactical innovations, is likely to bring something new into the team. The signing of such a talented goalkeeper as Mamardashvili shows the commitment of Liverpool to building solid success foundations.

Alisson’s Approval

Liverpool’s current first-choice goalkeeper, Alisson Becker, is reportedly encouraging the deal. In one goalkeeper to another, Alisson is understood to appreciate the need for steadfast backup and the necessity of it for a club competing at their level.

A Promising Future

Giorgi Mamardashvili has swiftly become perhaps the most promising goalkeeper in Europe, as his games in Valencia attracted attention from leading clubs, including Liverpool. The Reds have thrown their financial might behind Mamardashvili in belief in his ability.

But with Mamardashvili, of course, already, while his merits cannot yet be eclipsed, fans of Liverpool also have the right to expect a really talented, determined goalkeeper. His arrival might bring changes in fortune for the team in this and the forthcoming seasons.
