Lewis Edwards, a former South Wales Police officer, has been handed a life sentence for his appalling crimes involving the online grooming of over 200 girls via fake Snapchat accounts. Edwards used his digital disguise to manipulate and threaten his victims, coercing them into sharing indecent images and videos. His heinous acts, which persisted despite the pleas of distressed girls, shocked the nation.

Edwards, 24, posed as a 14-year-old boy online and blackmailed numerous young girls, aged between 10 and 16, to obtain explicit images, exploiting their vulnerability. His pattern of psychological manipulation and threats continued unabated, causing significant distress and harm to his victims.
