John Krasinski has been cast as Reed Richards in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. This news has been met with excitement from fans of the MCU, as well as fans of Krasinski’s work.

Krasinski is best known for his role as Jim Halpert in the hit TV show The Office, as well as his roles in films such as A Quiet Place and Jack Ryan. He is also an accomplished director, having directed films such as A Quiet Place Part II and the upcoming The Hollars.

So why is Krasinski in Doctor Strange? According to director Sam Raimi, the decision to cast Krasinski was made by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. Raimi said, “It’s so funny that Kevin [Feige] cast John [Krasinski] because the fans had a dream of who the perfect Reed Richards would be.” The director went on to note that he believes Feige chose to cast Krasinski precisely because Reed’s appearance takes place in a different universe than the MCU’s prime reality.

Krasinski is an excellent choice for the role of Reed Richards. He has the acting chops to bring the character to life, and his comedic timing is sure to bring a lightheartedness to the role. Additionally, Krasinski is no stranger to playing a superhero, having voiced the character of Mr. Incredible in the 2004 animated film The Incredibles.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to be released on March 25, 2022. Fans are sure to be excited to see Krasinski take on the role of Reed Richards, and to see what he brings to the table in this new MCU movie.
