Millennials are the most avid readers of all the generations, according to recent research. A survey of over 5,000 people found that 80% of Millennials had read a book in the last 12 months, compared to just over half of Generation X (54%) and Baby Boomers (51%).

The survey also revealed that Millennials are the biggest library-goers of the five generations. Over half (54%) of Millennials had visited a library in the last 12 months, compared to just over a third (36%) of Generation X and a quarter (25%) of Baby Boomers.

Millennials’ love of reading is not just limited to books. The survey found that Millennials are more likely to read magazines and newspapers than other generations, with 57% of Millennials having read a magazine in the last 12 months, compared to just 37% of Generation X and 32% of Baby Boomers.

The survey also found that Millennials are more likely to read e-books than other generations, with 42% of Millennials having read an e-book in the last 12 months, compared to just 25% of Generation X and 15% of Baby Boomers.

It’s clear that Millennials are the most voracious readers of all the generations. They are the biggest library-goers and are more likely to read books, magazines, newspapers, and e-books than other generations. With Millennials’ love of reading, it’s no wonder that they are the most well-read generation.
