Starting December 2022, Verizon customers using 3G CDMA or 4G phones that do not support HD Voice (Non-VoLTE) will no longer be able to make or receive calls, send or receive text messages, or use data services. This means that Verizon will be suspending lines without billing and the device will no longer be supported.

The move is part of Verizon’s ongoing effort to improve its network and services. By discontinuing support for these older devices, Verizon will be able to focus on providing better service and more reliable coverage for its customers.

The devices that will no longer be supported by Verizon include:

• All 3G CDMA devices

• All 4G devices that do not support HD Voice (Non-VoLTE)

• All 3G Global Ready devices

• All 3G World Devices

• All 4G Global Ready devices

• All 4G World Devices

• All 4G LTE devices that do not support HD Voice (Non-VoLTE)

• All 3G devices with a SIM card

• All 4G devices with a SIM card

• All devices that are not compatible with Verizon’s network

If you are currently using one of these devices, you will need to upgrade to a new device that is compatible with Verizon’s network and supports HD Voice (VoLTE) before December 2022. Otherwise, your line will be suspended without billing and you will no longer be able to make or receive calls, send or receive text messages, or use data services.

Verizon is committed to providing its customers with the best possible service and coverage. By discontinuing support for these older devices, Verizon will be able to focus on providing better service and more reliable coverage for its customers.
