Fearne Cotton looks to have got love again, just 11 weeks since she revealed her marriage to Jesse Wood, son of Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, had ended.
The 43-year-old presenter was seen sharing a romantic moment with TV director Elliot Hegarty on a night out with friends, sparking rumors that they might be starting a romance.
Hegarty, who is most famous for his Disney+ drama work on Rivals and Ted Lasso, ended his marriage to his wife Laura on Boxing Day, according to reports. It was just ten days since Cotton announced that her ten-year marriage to Jesse had ended.
The Daily Mail reported that Cotton and Hegarty were close friends for some time, but they became romantically involved after their respective breakups.
A source confirmed, “Fearne and Elliot have been dating since January,” noting that she appears really happy as she introduces him to her closest friends.
Not everyone, however, was expecting this. Insiders say Jesse was surprised by the news, which made it all the more difficult for him to adjust.
The news of Cotton’s new relationship follows hot on the heels of her speaking out about visiting weekly therapy sessions, where she continues to work through personal issues. She has been open about keeping her mental health and healing process a priority during times of great change.
In spite of the personal changes, Cotton is committed to co-parenting her two children, Rex and Honey, with Jesse, keeping their welfare the priority.
Although neither Cotton nor Hegarty have publicly spoken about the rumors of a romance, their recent dates and increased intimacy point towards them welcoming a new beginning in each other’s arms.
