The latest buzz is the role of the legendary Paul McCartney. Renowned director Ridley Scott, fresh from the success of “Gladiator II,” recently dropped a bombshell during a Q&A session with Christopher Nolan. While discussing his upcoming apocalyptic thriller “The Dog Stars,” Scott casually revealed that his leading man, Paul Mescal, is set to embody the iconic Beatle.
“Paul is actually stacked up, doing the Beatles next. So I may have to let him go,” Scott confessed, hinting at the potential scheduling conflicts that might arise.
Following that report came news that Barry Keoghan is to star in the role of Ringo Starr, as the former seemed to confirm from his drumstick. While neither these castings have been made public, such heavy hitters being part of the film gives some credence to speculation.
Mendes’s Beatles biopics, for which the band’s families have given full blessings, will be released in theaters in 2027.
