Reading and Leeds Festival 2025 Headliner Chappell Roan and Travis Scott

Chappell Roan is one of the headlining acts for the Reading and Leeds Festival in 2025. She will be joined on stage by rapper Travis Scott. The two-day event is scheduled for the August bank holiday weekend, and with Bring Me The Horizon being a metal band and acclaimed singer-songwriter Hozier, it is sure to be a dynamic line-up.

The latest young phenomenon to attract global attention is Chappell Roan, whose two hit singles, “Hot to Go!” and “Pink Pony Club,” have catapulted her to the top. The debut album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess has placed her firmly on the list of top new talents. The Pink Pony Club singer has been on a tear with her sell-out UK tour that showed her unique style and ability to connect with fans. Melvin Benn, the head of Festival Republic, expressed excitement over her rise, saying she’s “an inspiring new pop star poised to define a generation.”

It features major names like AJ Tracey, Becky Hill, and rapper Trippie Redd in its lineup for 2025, announced on BBC Radio 1’s New Music Show hosted by Jack Saunders. Also part of the lineup are Sammy Virji, Enter Shikari, The Kooks, and Bloc Party. Indie acts like Conan Gray, Amyl and The Sniffers, and Wunderhorse will also take to the stage, among others, including Rudimental, Suki Waterhouse, The Dare, Lambrini Girls, and Lola Young. But the best is yet to come, as there are even more exciting acts to be announced over the coming months.
Chappell Roan’s journey to this level of recognition has been a rollercoaster. The young artist was named Best New Artist at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards. Her victory hasn’t come without its price, though: In September, she decided to ditch two shows in Europe to attend the highly coveted VMAs. Weeks prior, she canceled appearances at the All Things Go festival in Washington, D.C., and New York City, saying she felt overwhelmed with pressure due to her new recognition. Despite the setbacks, her career keeps soaring, and she is a trailblazer to the new generation of pop music.

Travis Scott, meanwhile, will also return to the festival, having not played at Reading and Leeds since 2018. As for the rapper, the latter has just concluded Utopia – Circus Maximus, his touring off the back of first UK number-one album, Utopia. Though his career has had a lot of controversy marked by the unfortunate incidents in the Astroworld Festival in 2021, Travis Scott is undoubtedly one of the most potent forces to be reckoned with when it comes to music. According to Melvin Benn, his 2025 festival appearance in Europe will mark an exclusive concert, and fans would love to wait for this event.

Last year, Lana Del Rey and Blink-182 headlined the festival, but the 2025 edition is going to be equally exciting, attracting fans from all genres. As the date of the festival draws near, more acts will be announced, and excitement will build for what is going to be a thrilling weekend of live music.

While fans of Chappell Roan will no doubt be eagerly awaiting her festival debut, the event will also serve as a major milestone for Travis Scott, marking another chapter in his ongoing career. As the event draws closer, both artists will likely continue to be in the spotlight, with fans excited to see them perform live in what promises to be one of the biggest music festivals of the year.
