Huda Kattan (born October 2, 1983) is a makeup artist, beauty blogger, and entrepreneur from the United States. She is the creator of the Huda Beauty cosmetics line. Her parents are both Iraqis. Huda earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Michigan–Dearborn. In April 2010, Huda started a beauty-related WordPress blog which she named “Huda Beauty” on which she would post makeup tutorials and tips. Huda began a beauty-related WordPress blog called “Huda Beauty” in April 2010, where she posted makeup tutorials and tips. She founded a cosmetics line in 2013, which, like her blog, is also called “Huda Beauty.” Huda tops the “2017 Influencer Instagram Rich List,” earning $18,000 per supported tweet. Forbes magazine named her one of the “ten most influential influencers in the world of beauty.” Huda and her family co-starred in Huda Boss, a Facebook Watch original reality film, in 2018. Huda gained a large number following on Instagram, with over 47 million followers as of 2020. Huda Beauty, Huda’s cosmetics company, engaged in a food donation drive in 2021, donating one million meals. Huda Beauty, Huda’s Dubai-based company, later expanded to include eye shadow palettes, liquid lipsticks, lip liners, highlighter palettes, foundations, concealers, baking powders, and liquid eyeshadows, among other beauty products.
Personal life: Huda met her now-husband, Colombian-born Chris Gonçalo, in high school. The couple moved to Dubai in 2006, married in June 2009, and welcomed their first child, Nour Gisele, in 2011. Huda is a Muslim. Huda’s business partner is one of her sisters.
Fact: Huda refuses to sit on the sidelines of progress, donating $500,000 to the #BlackLivesMatter movement and hosting the Global Gift Gala in support of women’s empowerment and gender equality initiatives.
