Elon Musk, the billionaire entrepreneur and founder of Tesla and SpaceX, is known for his ambitious projects and his love of private jets. While it is no secret that Musk has a passion for aviation, many people are unaware of the specifics of his private jet fleet.
Musk currently owns four private jets, three of which are made by Gulfstream. The first jet he ever bought was a Dassault 900B, which is registered to Falcon Landing LLC, a shell company with ties to Space X. According to the FAA registry, Musk also owns a Gulfstream G650ER, a Gulfstream G550, and a Gulfstream GV. All of Musk’s jets are registered to Falcon Landing LLC.
The G650ER is the most luxurious of Musk’s jets, and is capable of flying up to 7,500 nautical miles at a speed of Mach 0.925. The G550 is a bit smaller, but still has a range of 6,750 nautical miles and a top speed of Mach 0.885. The GV is the oldest of Musk’s jets, but still has a range of 5,700 nautical miles and a top speed of Mach 0.88.
Musk’s jets are not only luxurious, but also incredibly efficient. The G650ER, for example, is capable of burning just over 2,000 gallons of fuel per hour, which is significantly less than the average private jet. This makes it one of the most fuel-efficient jets in the world.
It is clear that Musk takes his private jet fleet seriously. He has invested heavily in the most advanced and efficient jets available, and is always looking for ways to improve his jets’ performance. With his current fleet of four jets, Musk is able to travel around the world in style and comfort.
