Kylie Jenner is expanding her career into scripted television, taking on a new role in the upcoming thriller series Bachelorette Weekend, currently in development for Hulu. The beauty mogul is set to star in and produce the project, which centres on a bachelorette getaway that takes a deadly turn. The series marks another step in Jenner’s growing interest in acting following her appearance in Charli XCX’s mockumentary The Moment.
Based on an unpublished novel by Flora Collins, Bachelorette Weekend follows a group of friends whose wedding celebrations turn into a murder mystery when the bride-to-be, played by Jenner, is found dead in a swimming pool. With the killer still unknown, the bridesmaids become potential suspects as the story unfolds. Screenwriter Lauren Oliver is adapting the novel for television, with Aaron Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment also involved in the project’s development.
Jenner will be joined behind the scenes by her older sister, Kim Kardashian, who is attached as an executive producer but is not currently expected to appear on screen. While the series has yet to begin filming, its remaining cast and release date have not been announced. With its blend of mystery and suspense, Bachelorette Weekend could mark a significant new chapter in Jenner’s transition from reality television and business into scripted entertainment.
