Google also plans to connect Gemini Enterprise with other legal technology platforms. The company said its system can securely integrate with products associated with Thomson Reuters, legal AI company Harvey, LexisNexis and other providers. Such integrations could make the platform more useful to law firms because lawyers would not necessarily need to abandon the software systems they already rely on.
For legal professionals, interoperability could become one of the most important factors when choosing an AI platform. A tool that operates separately from existing databases and case-management systems may create additional work rather than reduce it.
