CM Punk Returns to Join WWE Survivor Series Team, Paul Heyman Makes a Comeback

Paul Heyman is back in WWE, and he brought with him a huge surprise.

SmackDown’s closing moments delivered a heightened confrontation with the original Bloodline clique and Solo Sikoa’s new version. During the verbal exchange, Sikoa challenged Roman Reigns to join his way. Now things took an interesting turn when Paul Heyman appeared, revealing a twist to the situation. Roman’s team was no longer going to be outnumbered in the Survivor Series WarGames match. Heyman announced another fifth member, and surprise, surprise, CM Punk made his comeback to WWE. His return follows after leaving after the Hell in a Cell event, and Punk did not waste much time in really getting his presence felt.

Aiding the Bloodline originally, Punk helped hold off Sikoa’s Bloodline faction and Bronson Reed. The impromptu melee spiked when Sami Zayn and The Usos hurled themselves out of the ring in a high-flying dive. As Reigns and Punk were caught, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa tried to stage an attack but were swiftly eliminated. The show went off with a bang as Punk and Reigns locked up for a tense staredown, signaling a very big alliance well ahead of Survivor Series. Paul Heyman’s return added another layer to the unfolding drama. Since June, he had not been seen on television; due to the new faction of Bloodline choosing to oust him following a refusal to heed the summons: he would not recognize Solo Sikoa as a tribal chief. During last week’s SmackDown,, fans caught wind of a possible reappearance when, at the end of the show, Reigns attempted to contact Heyman-just to learn that his number was disconnected. Given that Survivor Series WarGames is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 30 in Vancouver, the stakes are as high as can get. The match line-up confirmed so far promises all-out, intense action and memorable rivalries – the men’s WarGames Match: OG Bloodline (Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Sami Zayn, and CM Punk) vs. The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Bronson Reed)

  • Women’s WarGames Match: Rhea Ripley, IYO SKY, Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, and Naomi vs. Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, and Candice LeRae
  • World Heavyweight Title Match: Gunther defends against Damian Priest
This season’s Survivor Series is becoming one of the most electrifying in recent history, setting up with CM Punk’s return. Having him join forces with Reigns and the OG Bloodline adds a new dynamic to a storyline that already had all that it could hold, and Paul Heyman being attached only hints at much more action. The reign of WarGames is officially in motion, and WWE fans are in for one hell of an unmissable night.
