British pop singer Olly Murs is the first headliner confirmed for the Margate Summer Series 2025. Tickets for the top event will go on sale next Friday, October 11.
Appearing in Dreamland on Friday, August 15, 2025, will be a singer famous for his chart-topping hit “Dance With Me Tonight.” And adding to the excitement will be Murs, who brings along with him one of the most acclaimed R&B artists of his generation, the two-time Brit Award and three-time MOBO Awards winner, Lemar.
With seven albums under his belt- five of which topped the number one spot- Olly Murs has become synonymous with UK music. Throughout his career, he has sold over 2 million concert tickets and is still holding 7.6 million monthly listeners on Spotify. And if that wasn’t enough, Olly Murs’s influence doesn’t stop there; he has more than 27 million combined social media following.
For the pop superstar, 2024 has been another blistering year. Murs spent most of it on tour with the iconic Take That band at 44 dates and finished the summer off in headlining one of his own shows just in case you needed reminding of his star appeal, which doesn’t seem to go anywhere.
And with 2025 approaching Olly has much more in store for his fans. He recently announced that he will embark on a huge arena tour, marking 15 years within the music industry with Blue. This milestone marks something of an achievement for the 40-year-old, whose journey began back in 2009 when he appeared on The X Factor in its sixth season and finished the runners-up.
He then, after his scintillating performance on The X Factor, entered into multirecording record deals with Sony Music and RCA Records in the UK, and Columbia Records in the US. It indeed was a natural progression from reality TV to being pop. He could turn himself into an overnight favorite of the television audience at once.
Apart from his soulful voice, Murs has been a coach on Britain’s most popular talent show The Voice since 2018 until his last season in 2023. This has only furthered his position as one of the best-loved icons and brought his music to a new generation.
The singer is not a newbie to Dreamland, though. Last year, he was on his Marry Me tour and performed at the famous venue in 2023. His return for Summer Series is also expected to bring large crowds to see him perform some of his biggest hits live.
Fans who would like to purchase their way into seeing Murs live in performance are urged to act fast since all of his shows sell out, and it’s crammed inside when the tickets come on sale. His Dreamland show is going to be one of the highlights of the summer with a fine way to celebrate 15 years of an incredible run.
