Building up on last year’s success of its innovative reality show, *Made In Korea: The K-Pop Experience, *BBC is now gearing up for the second season of this exciting program. This season they intend to create a new girl band to compete with dearAlice.
Producers were even more impressed at how dedicated and talented the participants in the first series were, with whom they had undertaken a vigorous 100-day training program as guided by the top K-Pop execs. “It was so intense that the producers said it was like ‘Simon Cowell looking like Mary Poppins'”
dearAlice, who have now returned to the UK are currently working on their debut single. However the programme makers are not waiting for them and are already planning to enter into the next round. A second series is in the works, with five talented female singers and dancers who are going to be challenged through the same grueling training program.
This follows the high demand for K-Pop female groups in the UK market. Groups such as Blackpink rose to a great height in the western music market. It once headlined one of the biggest festivals in British Summer Time in Hyde Park.
An insider revealed that the first season of the show Made In Korea succeeded big time, and dearAlice turned out to be a complete group that is ready to take the music world by storm. The production and management teams have been discussing the possibility of the second series for them, but this time as a girl band.
While it will give more time and attention to the new girl group, producers of the show will also pay attention to dearAlice and support them in their career. The band is to release new music soon.
Two bands go head-to-head simultaneously under the Made In Korea banner, looking extremely promising. As can be seen through season one, the show really is a good launching pad for new talent, and season two is going to increase competition and drama leading up to the creation of a new sensation in K-Pop.
