The Duchess of Edinburgh recently met with the Democratic Republic of Congo’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, as part of the ongoing process to further illustrate the growing significance of the individual in the Royal Family. During her conversation with the minister, Sophie discussed the work she is currently doing and continues to focus on as a humanitarian while relating to the inspirational resiliency of women of the Congo, a topic that she feels very passionate about.

Very actively engaging in humanitarian causes, Sophie continues her growth as an influential icon in royal engagement with global diplomacy.
