In the wake of the untimely passing of her Friends co-star Matthew Perry, Jennifer Aniston is rallying fans to support The Matthew Perry Foundation. Launched on November 3, nearly a week after Perry’s death on October 30 at the age of 54, the foundation aims to assist individuals grappling with addiction.
Perry, who candidly shared his lifelong battle with alcohol and drug addiction in his 2022 memoir, was discovered unresponsive in his Pacific Palisades home, having tragically drowned in his hot tub.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Aniston used her platform to encourage followers to contribute to The Matthew Perry Foundation as part of Giving Tuesday, a day dedicated to philanthropy and charitable endeavors following Thanksgiving.
“For #GivingTuesday, please join me and Matty’s family in supporting his foundation—which is working to help those suffering with addiction. He would have been grateful for the love,” expressed Aniston in her post, highlighting the importance of coming together to make a positive impact in honor of Perry’s memory.
