ABOUT
Syed Muhammad Faisal Sami is a renowned British-Pakistani humanitarian whose leadership at the Faizan Global Relief Foundation (FGRF) UK has made a transformative impact on communities across the globe. For over two decades, Syed has led with compassion and purpose, spearheading projects that range from emergency disaster relief and social welfare to environmental sustainability and youth rehabilitation.
His humanitarian journey has included major relief operations in multiple crisis-hit regions:
Pakistan Floods (2022): Delivered essential supplies, including food, medical aid, and temporary shelters, to thousands of families displaced by catastrophic flooding.
Turkey-Syria Earthquake (2023): Provided life-saving support—blankets, food, medical assistance—and initiated the construction of container homes and orphanages to help rebuild lives.
Water Relief Projects – Thar Desert, Pakistan: Oversaw the successful construction and running of over 5,000 water wells and hand pumps, ensuring access to clean water in one of the most arid regions of the country.
Morocco Earthquake (2023): Delivered over 20,000 ration parcels, more than 5,000 gas cylinders, critical aid and medical supplies, blankets and sleeping materials, and organised donations of gifts, sweets, and treats for children and orphanages.
Gaza Humanitarian Aid (2024–2025): Coordinated shipments that have now benefited over 350,000 individuals. Aid included food and cooked meals, 5.1 million litres of clean water, medical and hygiene supplies, financial support, and infant care resources.
African Development Programs: Launched long-term infrastructure projects across Malawi, Tanzania, The Gambia, and South Africa—building shelters, educational facilities, and water systems to improve quality of life.
Aid in Libya and Egypt: Supported displaced communities with vital supplies and daily necessities, addressing some of the most critical human needs.
Beyond international relief, Syed’s efforts to address social issues in the West Midlands, UK, have been equally impactful. He has collaborated with local authorities to tackle pressing issues like knife crime, county lines exploitation, and drug awareness—especially among young people. Through school talks, workshops, and community campaigns, he has empowered vulnerable youth with education, mentorship, and alternatives to violence.
Syed’s environmental commitment is also evident through his leadership in large-scale tree-planting initiatives that have seen thousands of trees planted across various communities, promoting sustainability and environmental responsibility.
His work has earned national respect and several distinguished recognitions:
British Citizen Award (2024): Honoured at the Palace of Westminster for over two decades of voluntary service through Dawat-e-Islami and FGRF UK.
