ABOUT

Shanette Johnson is an American author, advocate, podcast host, entrepreneur, and commercial driver with over 26 years of experience. A devoted wife, proud mother of four adult children, and loving grandmother to four grandsons, Shanette’s life has been shaped by resilience and service. After the heartbreaking loss of her only son to congestive heart failure, she found healing through writing, co-authoring three impactful books, including Analogy Seeds of Immortality and Eternal Echoes, and is currently working on a project focused on grief and hope. In 2022, her advocacy journey began after marrying Juan Johnson, who had been wrongfully convicted and sentenced to life without parole in Denver, Colorado. This experience fueled her passion for justice reform and supporting individuals affected by wrongful convictions. As the host of the podcast Let’s Talk About It, Shanette amplifies critical conversations around wrongful convictions and excessive sentencing. An entrepreneur inspired by her love of travel, she founded KKB Travel Service and is preparing to launch her own transportation business. A student at Strayer University pursuing her bachelor’s degree, Shanette is committed to using her voice to champion justice, compassion, and empowerment for marginalized communities.
