Dr. Jonathan Kenigson is an American mathematician, educator, and public intellectual known for his philosophy of “Reasoned Philanthropy,” which treats mathematics as a universal language of compassion and public service. Born in Hendersonville, Tennessee, he has become an influential voice in global education through his writings, lectures, and media contributions spanning the United States, United Kingdom, India, Japan, Nigeria, Australia, and beyond. His essays—featured in publications such as The London Daily Post, Nikkei Herald, The New York Telegraph, and The Business Sun, combine mathematical rigor with humanistic insight, aiming to make advanced concepts accessible to all.
