
Dr. Danish Mir Sayed Shah is an engineering and technology expert and academician with several years of experience. He has a simple yet in-depth narration style, transforming complex concepts into achievable goals and providing comprehensive interdisciplinary coverage. With a strong background in both academia and industry, he combines his multidisciplinary skills and expertise in energy, environment, business, and management to offer integrated solutions. He has authored several academic and technical textbooks, guidebooks, training manuals, and other books in industrial and academic areas that have earned him recognition and awards, and have helped bridge the gap between industry and academia.
Since 2004, Dr. Danish has been at the forefront of multidisciplinary engineering and technology, leading various projects while also actively teaching and conducting research. He served as an assistant professor at Kabul University, University of the Ryukyus, and later joined Nagoya University, in Japan. He is the founder and ex-chair of the IEEE-Sustainable Energy and Intelligent Engineering Society (SEIES-PES & FRID joint chapter, Fukuoka Chapter), founder and facilitator of several academic branches of IET and ACM, and a member of the board of directors for REPA – Research and Education Promotion Association. He has also worked with various national and international organizations and companies as an urban electric power planner, team leader, technical advisor, department head, educational manager, and director.
Dr. Danish is a Chartered Engineer (CEng.), Senior Member of IEEE, and a Member of IET (MIET), and holds membership in several other academic societies. He received his B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 2009 from Kabul University, Afghanistan, and two master’s degrees, one in Energy and Electrical Engineering (M.Sc.) in 2015 from the University of the Ryukyus, Japan, and the other in Business Administration (MBA) in 2016 from the National Institute of Business Management, India. He holds a Ph.D. in Sustainable Energy from the University of the Ryukyus and has chaired and served on several conference committees and has over 100 publications. His research interests include sustainable energy (policy, economics, market, environment, and management), hydrogen energy, smart city and house, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, storage systems, voltage stability, and related areas.
