ABOUT
Dr. Asma Al Aufi is an Omani academic, researcher, entrepreneur, and business leader who serves as a Lecturer at Sultan Qaboos University and Managing Director of Moon Group LLC. She holds a PhD in Higher Education from Lancaster University, a master’s degree in Applied Linguistics and TESOL from Newcastle University, and a bachelor’s degree in English Language from Sultan Qaboos University. Her research interests include higher education, educational policy, artificial intelligence in education, and English language teaching, and she has published in international peer-reviewed journals and presented her work at academic conferences. Al Aufi is an Executive Member of the Forbes Business Council and has received honours including the Omani Woman Award 2024 and the Women in Leadership Award 2025, with her professional work focusing on education, innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership in Oman and internationally.
