Talent executive and music manager Scooter Braun recently took a moment in a candid podcast conversation to discuss his personal life and his partner’s career, and it’s a pretty open-ended compliment, isn’t it? In his appearance on the ‘Second Thought’ podcast, Braun was asked about his opinion of Sweeney’s show in the third season of the popular HBO series ‘Euphoria.’ He didn’t mention her by name, but the implication was clear enough given the circumstances and among the people who have been following the couple’s slowly unfolding relationship.
“Now, I am catching it, I’m biased. I’m biased, I like it. I think there’s been an incredible performance by a certain actress.” Braun said. The comment was gentle and moderate, a balance that has been achieved by one who hasn’t been given to public scrutiny regarding his private life much. He didn’t really say which scenes or episodes he had watched, nor even describe the scenes he liked so much as of course admitting he was biased, but he did put some degree of love into his words. I have said this in my own experience, but it is a challenge to objectively praise a person you love, and that was evident in Braun’s tone.
During the same interview, they eventually moved on to talk about his relationship status. Braun said it was a “one of the biggest surprises ever” he met a great person. “He has met an extraordinary woman who is kind and generous and smart, and real and down to earth,” he went on. It’s refreshing to see a public figure using terms such as real and down to earth, rather than blown-out-out-of-proportion compliments from Hollywood. The words used in the description above hint at a relationship that’s compatible on a day-to-day basis and less about red carpet appearances, which might be the reason that the couple has not made a lot of headlines.

Sweeney and Braun have been rumored to be dating since they were spotted at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s wedding in Venice, Italy in 2025. For months they both kept their silence over the rumors and refused to comment on them, doing neither to confirm nor deny the speculation. They have only recently said I’m dating you and frankly, they’ve done so in fits and starts. Sweeney shared a series of their photos on her account from the Stagecoach music festival, while Braun had a black and white picture on the stories account at about the same time. In the internet age of celebrity culture, those little moves convey a message more meaning than even formal statements.
A PEOPLE report last year provided further context – the two were taking things seriously. “Scooter and Sydney are doing well; they’re in a serious relationship.” This is even more interesting for fans who have been paying attention to Sweeney’s romance life. She had been engaged to the businessman Jonathan Davino for almost seven years before their engagement was broken. Leaving a long engagement for a female star, such as Braun, who works in a different sector of the entertainment industry, is a major change in her love life.
Of course, the age gap between the two (Sweeney is 28, Braun is 44) has been a talking point among observers. For some, it is irrelevant, for others, how two people from two different generations and two different professional worlds coexist, or how they cope with life together. As well as managing some of the biggest names in music, Braun has also established herself as one of the premier names in intense dramatic roles, such as ‘Euphoria’ and ‘The White Lotus’. When they have different personalities this may create friction or a stable balance. As of yet, they seem to be taking the plunge into the latter.
The couple were recently seen on a night out in NYC, both in sharp attire for an evening in the big city. Braun had an all-black outfit, simple and traditional, while Sweeney’s dress was dark navy and had a wide neckline and some ruffles. The outing wasn’t accompanied by a dramatic pose nor any coordinated interviews, only two people living their lives together. It’s a low key approach that’s been their modus operandi since the beginning and that’s what’s kept them from being among the celebrity couples who would turn every meal into a press opportunity.
