Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max continue to spark buzz, with new leaks offering a closer look at what’s in store for the premium lineup expected next month.

Renowned tipster shared photos that allegedly confirm the return of a physical SIM card slot on the iPhone 17 Pro. While Apple has fully embraced eSIM in the US, international markets are still set to receive physical SIM support—something that will carry over into the 2025 Pro models.

Another leak, this time from Yeux1122 (via Wccftech), showcases the internals of the iPhone 17 Pro Max. The images reveal Apple’s metal-covered battery design, first introduced with the iPhone 16 Pro for improved thermal management, alongside a noticeably larger rear camera module. Interestingly, two different battery layouts appear in the leak, likely tied to models with and without SIM slots, highlighting Apple’s global design adjustments.

Perhaps the biggest development comes from Setsuna Digital (via Notebookcheck), who claims the iPhone 17 Pro Max will sport the most advanced telephoto camera yet. While specifics remain unclear—whether it’s the best in iPhone history or across all smartphones—the upgrade sounds substantial. Current rumors point to as much as 8x optical zoom, a significant leap from the 5x zoom on last year’s iPhone 16 Pro Max.

With talk of a redesigned rear casing and even a new pro-level camera app, Apple seems poised to elevate its photography game once again. The iPhone 17 series is expected to launch in September, with Tuesday, September 9 tipped as the unveiling date.
