Kristine Subrovska, known to many as Ireland’s Next Top Model, is much more than a face in fashion, she’s a public figure, advocate, and changemaker on a mission. With a powerful blend of confidence, compassion, and community commitment, Kristine is redefining what it means to be a public role model in today’s world.

From raising awareness around mental health to actively supporting children’s rights, Kristine uses her growing platform to speak up, give back, and inspire the next generation of women and girls to live authentically, pursue their dreams, and stand up for those who need a voice.

What inspired you to become publicly involved in this work?

Kristine Subrovska:
What led me to the decision to become publicly involved was seeing the real struggles that children and families face, often with no one to speak up for them. I witnessed situations and cases firsthand myself and have been front row where children weren’t given the safety, care, or fair opportunities they deserve, and I realised that staying silent wouldn’t change anything.

My own experiences, and the stories of people around me, opened my eyes to how much work needs to be done in Ireland’s systems to protect children and support their futures. I felt a responsibility to use my platform—not just for myself but to be a voice for those who can’t always speak up, like the little ones that need the most help. I want to help drive conversations and build real connections that can lead to meaningful change.

Kristine’s advocacy is rooted in lived experiences and deep empathy. Whether she’s in front of the camera or on the ground working with organizations like Tusla and Ronald McDonald House in Crumlin, her message is clear: Kindness and strength can and should coexist.

What cause or public issue are you most passionate about?

Kristine Subrovska:
My main goal and point I want to get out there is this: I want people to understand that every child deserves to be heard, protected, and given a fair chance and that we all have a role in creating a safer, kinder world for them. We need to build this now for future generations and set the bar higher.

Real change starts when we stop looking away from what’s wrong in our systems and start using our voices and platforms to advocate for those who can’t always advocate for themselves. When a community stands in unity, we can achieve the unachievable.

You don’t have to be perfect or have it all figured out to stand up for what’s right, you just have to care enough to try.

She recalls one story in particular that shaped her advocacy:

“I’ll never forget seeing a child waiting for hours outside a courtroom, clutching on to her teddy that her daddy had got her for her birthday, with no clear idea of what was happening or where they would be going next. In that moment, I realised how many children in Ireland feel invisible within systems meant to protect them.

Decisions about a child’s future are often made in rushed courtrooms, from one-sided views, or by overwhelmed social workers who simply don’t have the resources. I promised myself that if I ever had a platform, I would use it to speak up for these children.”
