Sources at the Daily Mail report Travis Kelce made popular songstress Taylor Swift wait around on the runway for about an hour before they took off for a private flight. Anything but typical for the world-renowned songstress, this isn’t the way most see her. The couple was scheduled to be whisked away on a luxurious private Gulfstream jet headed to the East Coast. Not exactly according to plan. Arriving and boarding the aircraft at 6:05 PM were Taylor and her father, Scott Swift; in contrast, showing up in a Hummer an hour later was tight end for Kansas City Chiefs.
When Kelce attempted to back his oversized electric vehicle up onto the apron, the gate was locked, and he was delayed yet again. Fortunately, one of Swift’s security officers came to his rescue by ushering him to the private jet. Witnesses report that a somewhat frazzled Kelce sprinted up the stairs of the plane to finally depart.
Interestingly, they were leaving just when Jason Kelce’s brother was arriving in the same airport, preparing for his own return flight to Philadelphia. Now that the Chiefs are on a bye week, there isn’t much Kelce has to get back to until the team gets ready to play against the San Francisco 49ers on October 20.
Earlier in the day, Kelce had also gotten to host Swift at his lavish Kansas City mansion. The singer and her father had flown into town 24 hours earlier to see the Saints game, which Kelce attended. The two marked the Chiefs’ Week 5 win in a touching display of affection with footage of them sharing kisses and cuddles in Swift’s VIP box following the game circulating on X (formerly Twitter).
When Swift was absent at Travis’s intimate dinner party and car festival held in anticipation of his 35th birthday, a minor commotion ensued. Considering their recent public outing together, this only served to put speculators’ imagination out of kilter.
