Google Photos will soon stop offering its users a free unlimited storage option. Since June 1, if your 15 GB Google storage space is full and you are uploading photos under a high quality option, you should buy a Google One subscription to save more photos or videos. All existing high quality content will be exempt from storage allocation.
Since not all previous uploads are counted for account storage, you have just few days to use the free storage feature. If you have Google Pixel 5 or previous versions, this new savings policy won’t affect you. Pixel phone users will get unlimited free storage option.
Google Photos has added a new storage management tool to quickly clean storage space. With this tool, you can delete blurred photos, screenshots, large videos and other photos that you don’t like. You can access this tool by visiting account settings in Google Photos> Backup and Sync Settings > Manage Storage.Google’s tool, large files, will allow you to review emails that take up more space. Also, you can also find out how much space you save when deleting these photos, videos and emails.
Google One’s basic subscription comes with 100 GB storage space. Also, it costs Rs 130 per month or Rs 1,300 on an annual basis. You can also share storage space with your family. There is also a 200 GB cloud storage plan. It is priced at Rs 210 per month or Rs 2,100 per annum. For 2TB, you have to pay Rs 650 per month and Rs 6,500 per annum. For 10TB, it is Rs.3,250 per month.
