The Olympics delivers a full day of action at Paris 2024 on Saturday, following a memorable opening ceremony.
Swimming takes center stage with Team GB focusing on Adam Peaty, who aims for his third consecutive 100m breaststroke Olympic gold medal. The race of the day, and possibly the meet, features Katie Ledecky, Ariarne Titmus, and Summer McIntosh competing in the women’s 400m freestyle.
The first gold medals of the summer will be awarded before lunch, with the mixed 10m air rifle finals featuring Team GB’s Michael Bargeron and Seonaid McIntosh, who are in prime position to win. There’s also potential for British success in the women’s 3m synchronised diving final, with Yasmin Harper and Scarlett Mew Jensen representing Great Britain.
Additionally, Rafael Nadal, fresh from starring in the opening ceremony, will partner with Carlos Alcaraz in the men’s doubles as tennis begins at Roland Garros.
