Greg Davies returns as Paul ‘Wicky’ Wickstead alongside a new ensemble cast including Steve Pemberton, Sharon Rooney, Ben Willbond, and Conleth Hill. Created and written by Greg Davies, The Cleaner follows Wicky, a certified crime-scene cleaner tasked with sanitizing the aftermath of death. Armed with cleaning supplies, Wicky navigates through bizarre encounters with victims’ relatives, employers, and even the occasional murderer, blending cleaning duties with unexpected social interactions.
Joining the cast for Series 3 are Chaneil Kular, Derek Griffiths, Gemma Whelan, Harry Peacock, Paula Wilcox, Philippa Dunne, Rebekah Staton, Rosie Cavaliero, Sheila Reid, Sophia Dall’Aglio, Vicki Pepperdine, Viraj Juneja, and returning as PS Ruth Edwards, Zita Sattar.

Produced by SHUK (Studio Hamburg UK) for BBC One and BBC iPlayer, The Cleaner (6×30′) was commissioned by Jon Petrie and is executive produced by Vivien Muller-Rommel, with Sam Ward as producer. Tom Marshall directs, and Tracey Gillham handles casting. Distribution will be managed globally by BBC Studios, excluding German language markets. The Cleaner Series 1 and 2 are currently available on BBC iPlayer and BritBox International.
The series is based on the award-winning German comedy Der Tatortreiniger (Crime Scene Cleaner) created by Ingrid Lausund. Further broadcast details will follow in due course.
