Renowned royal expert Tom Quinn has suggested that there might be a chance for Meghan Markle to return to the royal family, albeit under unexpected circumstances. In his latest insights, shared in his book “Scandals of the ‘Royal Palaces: An Intimate Memoir of Royals Behaving Badly,'” Quinn outlined the conditions under which the Duchess of Sussex could make a comeback.
According to Quinn, a conceivable scenario for Meghan’s return involves her residing in England and discreetly embracing the traditional royal duties. He emphasized that her return would likely not be facilitated if it entailed seeking an apology or demanding a complete overhaul of the Royal Family’s practices, as such drastic changes may be beyond the family’s capacity.
In a pivotal revelation, Quinn drew attention to a telephone conversation between Prince Harry and his father, King Charles, on the latter’s 75th birthday. He interpreted this exchange as a potential sign of a thaw in relations, suggesting that Harry might be realizing the importance of the Royal Family in his life, even if it poses challenges in reconciling with his wife Meghan.
The couple, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, formally stepped down from their royal duties in 2020, relocating to Montecito, California. The 2022 Netflix docuseries, “Harry & Meghan,” provided an in-depth look at their relationship, marriage, and eventual departure from the royal family. In his memoir “Spare,” Prince Harry delved into his grievances with several senior royals, further straining familial ties. Despite these challenges, Prince Harry expressed hope for a robust reconciliation with his father, King Charles, and his brother, Prince William, in the future.
The potential for Meghan’s return comes amidst a recent London court ruling that identified Prince Harry as a victim of phone hacking and other illicit activities by Mirror Group journalists, with the knowledge of their editors. The ruling implicated Piers Morgan, the Daily Mirror editor from 1996 to 2004, among the editors aware of the “widespread” unlawful behavior.
