He’s not based in London he’s rooted in Boston but his voice is echoing around the world.
From Dorchester to Dubai, Roxbury to Rio, and Boston to Brixton, BT’s message is crossing borders faster than any beat.
“Music isn’t about fame,” BT says. “It’s about healing, hope, and humanity.”
BT’s story begins in Dorchester, Massachusetts, a neighbourhood defined by its grit, culture, and heart. Growing up surrounded by struggle and survival, he learned that music wasn’t an escape, it was a weapon for good.
“Dorchester made me,” he says. “Every bar I write comes from what I lived, what I saw, and what I overcame.”
Through The BASE, Boston’s groundbreaking youth empowerment organisation in Roxbury, BT found his life’s mission. The BASE blends baseball, education, and leadership to shape the next generation and BT turned its lessons into lyrics.
“The BASE taught me how to lead, not just live,” he says. “They believed in us and I made it my job to believe in others.”
BT began mentoring young people through workshops, performances, and community outreach, showing them that art can transform pain into power.
That philosophy became the heartbeat of Progressive Music, a sound built on truth, responsibility, and resilience.
BT’s voice started in Boston but the world is listening. He’s been featured in over 100 international media outlets across the U.S., Europe, Africa, and Asia.
From BBC interviews to African news coverage, his movement has reached audiences in Nigeria, Ghana, South Korea, Japan, the UAE, and beyond.
“I want a kid in Dorchester, a dancer in Lagos, and a dreamer in Seoul to all feel the same rhythm,” BT says. “Because this music belongs to everyone.”
In the UK, his message has struck a chord. Communities across London, Manchester, and Birmingham have begun adopting Progressive Music as part of their youth initiatives, proof that the Boston sound now has a British heartbeat.
“The UK gets it,” BT says. “They’ve turned pain into poetry for decades; now we’re just connecting those stories.”
BT’s upcoming project, “Big Dreams, Big Plans,” is more than an album it’s a movement in motion.
Written across Boston, Atlanta, and New York, it fuses American hip-hop with global influences: African drums, British soul, and international collaborations that transcend language.
“It’s the sound of a world that refuses to stay divided,” he says. “Every track is a bridge.”
The album includes songs that explore mental health, fatherhood, race, and redemption themes that connect listeners everywhere.
And as BT’s sound grows, so does his impact: he’s already in talks to perform in Seoul, Lagos, and London for a future world tour titled “Peace Has a Sound.”
BT balances his message of peace with humility and humour. When asked about his dream international concert, he grinned:
“If I ever do a show in Seoul, I hope the president of North Korea Kim Jong Un shows up. Maybe we can finally talk peace backstage.”
Then, laughing, he added:
“I wouldn’t mind being the first rapper to perform in North Korea. Somebody’s got to start the conversation and might as well start it with a mic.”
The audience laughed, but they knew he meant every word. Because BT The Artist doesn’t just rap about peace; he lives it.
From Dorchester’s corners to London’s stages, from Roxbury’s youth centres to Seoul’s studios, BT The Artist is proving that change can start with a song.
He isn’t chasing trends, he’s chasing transformation.
“When the world calls for peace,” BT says, “I want my music to be the answer. Because peace doesn’t whisper it sings.”And the world is starting to sing back.
