The Britpop icons shocked fans in August 2024 when they announced they were reuniting, 15 years after their bitter split in 2009. Their breakup followed a heated backstage clash at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris, after which Noel declared he “could not go on working with Liam a day longer.”

Since then, the brothers had been locked in a public feud, exchanging jabs in interviews and on social media. Their decision to reunite came as a surprise to many—making their return to stadium stages even more emotional for fans. At their first comeback show in Cardiff, the crowd erupted when the brothers shared a brief embrace at the end of the gig.

Speaking to TalkSport’s Andy Goldstein and Darren Bent, Noel admitted the tour has exceeded his expectations:
“Liam’s smashing it. I’m proud of him,” he said. “I couldn’t do the stadium thing like he does it, it’s not in my nature. But I look at him and think, ‘Good for you mate.’ He’s been amazing. It’s great being back with Bonehead [Paul Arthurs] and Liam—it feels right. I forgot how funny he was.”

Reflecting on the fan response in Cardiff, Noel confessed he was caught off guard:
“I grossly underestimated what I was getting into. After five minutes I thought, can I just go back and start again? I’ve done stadiums before, but halfway through the second song my legs had turned to jelly. It’s been truly amazing—difficult to put into words, actually.”

He added that each performance still feels fresh:
“Every night is the crowd’s first night. That energy—it’s something special.”

So far, Oasis have completed 17 sold-out dates across the UK and Ireland. Their Oasis Live ‘25 world tour continues through the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, and South America, with the final stop scheduled for November in Brazil.
