A rising force in the world of classical dance, Anannya has been nominated for the Emerging Star Award at the Influencer Magazine Awards 2025, in recognition of her unwavering dedication to one of India’s most sacred art forms: Sattriya Dance.
Originating from the Vaishnavite monasteries of Assam, Sattriya is one of the eight officially recognized classical dance forms of India, alongside Bharatanatyam and Kathak. For Anannya, this isn’t just a dance form, it’s a way of life. Having begun her training at just three years old, she now carries over 25 years of refined expertise, performance, and passion.
A double diploma holder and a certified performing artist under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, Anannya’s commitment to Sattriya has transcended national borders. As a graded artist for India’s national broadcaster, Doordarshan Kendra, and a proud artistic member of One Dance UK, her journey reflects the powerful blend of tradition and global perspective. She is also a lifetime member of ‘Byatikram Digital’ and ‘Freebirds’ community in India. Anannya is currently based in London, United Kingdom and continuing her journey with utmost devotion and commitment.

Her work through Nrityangahara reflects a rare balance of artistic depth and organizational leadership, marking her as not only an exceptional dancer but also a visionary advocate for her community and culture.
