A certified medical doctor, Dr. Abimbola is also a youth advocate, teen coach, and an active voice for the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Her work doesn’t begin or end with a stethoscope. It extends into classrooms, policy spaces, and grassroots communities. With a passion for SDGs 3, 4, and 5, Good Health and Well-being, Quality Education, and Gender Equality, her mission is deeply human, highly strategic, and globally resonant.
She is the visionary founder of HBI Africa, a youth-powered non-profit organization built on the bold motto: “Redefining and uplifting the essence of humanity through enhancing overall health and well-being, promoting both formal and informal education, and advancing gender equality.”
HBI Africa has implemented various comprehensive projects through outreach and support initiatives, promoting literacy and educational development via school visits and resource distribution, engaging vulnerable communities including IDP camps, empowering women with holistic programs focusing on their all round well-being, celebrating and advocating for girls’ rights and menstrual health, fostering youth empowerment through partnerships and capacity-building events, and raising awareness on mental health with innovative campaigns, all aimed at advancing Sustainable Development Goals and fostering inclusive community development.
Her changemaking journey is backed by global recognition. A member of the UNESCO Global Youth Community, a We54 African Young Leader, and a UPG Sustainability Leader, she brings a powerful blend of credibility and compassion to everything she does. She also holds a certification in Leadership and Management in Health from the University of Washington, reinforcing her ability to drive scalable health innovation.
