From dodging school PE classes to leading a global fitness phenomenon, Libby Bawden, better known as DNB HIIT The Floor, has rewritten the rules of movement—and the world is watching. Her nomination for the International Recognition Award at the Influencer Magazine Awards 2025 is a powerful tribute to a woman who turned personal transformation into a worldwide revolution.
What started in her living room with 12-minute Drum & Bass workouts has exploded into a full-blown fitness movement, complete with live DJs, choreographed HIIT sessions, and heart rates pushing 174 BPM. Libby’s sessions don’t just get people moving—they make them feel alive. By fusing high-intensity interval training with the energy of underground rave culture, she’s created a workout experience that’s as electric as a nightclub and as empowering as a therapy session.
But Libby’s journey didn’t begin on stage, it began with self-doubt. As a teen and well into her twenties, she avoided exercise altogether, intimidated by gym culture and disinterested in traditional sports. “Gyms felt like these shiny, exclusive clubs where everyone knew exactly what to do—and I didn’t,” she reflects. It wasn’t until her late 20s that she stumbled upon HIIT workouts set to Drum and Bass beats, and everything changed.
“I started feeling stronger, more energetic, more me,” Libby says. That discovery ignited a mission to help others break free from the belief that exercise had to feel like punishment. She enrolled in a Level 3 Personal Trainer course, trained on the side, and steadily built a platform that today fills venues across the globe.
Now in her mid-30s and a proud mum, Libby is in the best shape of her life, not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. Through DNB HIIT The Floor, she’s cultivated a space where people of all backgrounds can reclaim movement as something joyful, raw, and real. No mirrors, no judgment—just connection, sweat, and the beat.
Her nomination at IMA 2025 is more than well-earned, it’s symbolic. It honors the courage to challenge fitness stereotypes, the creativity to redefine how we move, and the heart to turn struggle into strength. Congratulations, Libby. Your fire, your vision, and your beats are inspiring a global rhythm of confidence, community, and change.
