The Hives, a Swedish rock band, officially announced that their latest album, The Hives Forever Forever The Hives, will hit Play It Again Sam stores on August 29. To go along with the release of the album, the three-piece band shared their 2025 world tour plans and released their exciting new single, “Enough Is Enough.” The track can be streamed below.
The record, produced jointly by Pelle Gunnerfeldt and the Beastie Boys’ Mike D, comprises 13 songs cut in Stockholm in two legendary studios. The former was Riksmixningsverket, which is part of ABBA’s Benny Andersson, and the latter is a recognized source of inspiration visited by Yung Lean and YEAR0001 Records. Creating additional mystery to the album, Josh Homme from Queens of the Stone Age also made some kind of contribution to it.
The lead-off single, “Enough Is Enough,” is a high-energy slam with lyrics that speak to current times of upheaval: “Everyone’s a little fuckin’ bitch/ And I am getting sick and tired of it/ Went to the doctor/ Cause I was sick/ Sick of everybody’s bullshit.” The supporting music video, directed by Eik Kockum, reflects the ferocity of the song.
The Hives world tour begins on April 12th in New York City, making its way through big North American cities such as Austin, Los Angeles, and Vancouver before going to Europe, the UK, and Australia. The entire tour itinerary can be found below.
Starting Tuesday, April 8th at 10:00 a.m. local time, album pre-order fans will be able to access tickets during an exclusive artist pre-sale. On April 9th at the same time, a Live Nation pre-sale will occur with the code DANCE. On April 11th, general public tickets will go on sale through Ticketmaster.
The Hives returned after over a decade with the release of their last album, The Death of Randy Fitzsimmons, in 2023. With their signature explosive energy and unapologetic attitude, the band is ready to continue their tradition with The Hives Forever Forever The Hives.
