Kelly Clarkson recently marked a significant career milestone, but her emotional speech had an added touch of melancholy.
To commemorate the 1000th episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, the artist and television host visibly teared up while speaking to her audience. While she profusely thanked her fans and viewers, she also made a personal revelation that raised many eyebrows.
The Because of You artist revealed she has experienced “a lot of ups and downs personally” before dropping a mysterious remark that raised eyebrows.
“I’ve lost, alone, a lot,” she confessed, without elaborating on what she meant.
Clarkson’s life has undergone major transformations in recent years. Ever since she began her talk show in September 2019, she has weathered personal storms, including her very public split from ex-husband Brandon Blackstock. The couple, married for seven years and with two children, completed their divorce in 2022.

Even with the emotional moment, Clarkson closed out her speech on a reassuring note, saying to her audience, “It’s okay,” and expressing gratitude to them for their unshakeable support.
Her message, though, comes close on the heels of when she took a two-week hiatus from the show over a “personal matter,” prompting fans to question whether her words are foreshadowing something more.
